During the monsoon period when all fishing and trade activity at the Sassoon Docks stop, they find themselves on the verge of penury - Unable to even have their two square meals a day. Even the thought of the Sassoon Docks closing down for good is unthinkable for the traders, water suppliers, ice-suppliers, hathgadiwalas and the boat kamgars whose lives depend on Sassoon Docks.
